The 12 Best Things To Do in Denver: Summer 2026
From Zach Bryan's two stadium nights to a free Pride on the new 16th Street, this is the definitive shortlist for Denver's summer. Updated as new events drop.
1. Spend a Saturday on Larimer Square
On June 20, DENVER BAZAAR turns Denver's most historic block into an open-air shopping party: dozens of Colorado makers, food, cocktails, and live music under the string lights. It's free, it's walkable from Union Station, and it's the single best people-watching afternoon of early summer.
2. Do Pride on the brand-new 16th Street
Denver PrideFest moves to the rebuilt 16th Street promenade for 2026, condensed into one enormous Sunday on June 28. The parade steps off at 9:30 AM and the festival packs 250-plus exhibitors onto the corridor. Historically about 550,000 people show up, so this is the city's biggest single day of the year.
3. See a stadium show on the Fourth of July
Ed Sheeran's LOOP Tour hits Empower Field on July 4 with a 2.5-hour live-looping set. A stadium singalong followed by fireworks over the skyline is about as Denver-summer as it gets.
4. Escape to the mountains with TheBigWonderful
On July 11, TheBigWonderful sets up at Winter Park Resort: craft beer, local makers, live music, and lawn games at 9,000 feet. When the city hits the high 90s, this is the move.
5. Catch The Strokes at Red Rocks
Two nights, July 22 and 23, on the Reality Awaits tour with Hamilton Leithauser opening. Red Rocks plus this catalog is a bucket-list pairing; face value starts around $161 and will not sit unsold.
6. Lose a weekend to the Underground Music Showcase
Denver's biggest local music festival relocates to RiNo July 24-26 with more than 200 performances across outdoor stages and a dozen venues. Weekend passes start at $95, which works out to under fifty cents a band.
7. Watch dragon boats race Sloan's Lake
August 29-30, more than 50 teams race across the lake at one of the largest dragon boat festivals in the country, with AAPI food and performances on shore. Free.
8. And five more for the list
Zach Bryan's two-night Empower Field stand (Aug 13-14) is the concert event of the summer. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival fills July 4th weekend with 260 juried artists. Film on the Rocks pairs movies with live pre-shows all summer. The Juneteenth Music Festival turns Five Points into a three-day celebration. And DENVER BAZAAR returns August 1 at Highland Bridge.
