For the northwest metro, the Arvada fireworks at Stenger Sports Complex are the closest thing to a hometown Fourth, no drive into the city required. The open ballfields give families room to spread out for the show.
Gates open at 6:30 PM on July 4 and the fireworks begin around 9:15 PM once it is fully dark. Admission is free.
Stenger sits off W. 58th Avenue near Independence Street. Plan for slow exits from the lots afterward and consider walking in from the surrounding neighborhood.
