Worth the trip: for four days in late August, downtown Boulder becomes a roots music festival, with stages and venue shows clustered around the Pearl Street Mall. The festival's own site confirms the August 27 to 30 dates and sells general admission passes.
The format favors wandering: catch a street stage for free-adjacent browsing, then use the pass for the anchor shows. Pair it with a Pearl Street dinner and it is the best low-effort festival weekend within an hour of Denver.
