Crosscurrents is built on a simple Denver truth, that the city only became livable once it cleaned up the South Platte, so a free festival sitting right on the water at Confluence Park is also a fundraiser for the people who keep the river usable. Proceeds go to the Greenway Foundation, the nonprofit behind decades of South Platte restoration.
The fourth edition runs 2 to 10 PM on Saturday, July 11, with live music across two stages, food trucks, pop-up bars, and water activities along the river. Admission is free.
Confluence Park sits where Cherry Creek meets the South Platte, walkable from LoDo and the Cherry Creek trail. Tubers float right past the stages, so bring a swimsuit if you want the full riverside version.
