Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country

Daniel Donato is the rare country guitarist whose shows get built like a jam band's, and the Cosmic Country band he fronts plays Mission Ballroom on November 7 as one of two consecutive Denver nights, which is the kind of booking an act only gets in a city that keeps showing up for it.

Donato built his name on the honky-tonk stages of Nashville's Lower Broadway as a teenager, and Cosmic Country stretches that foundation into long improvised passages rather than a fixed Music Row set. Because the setlists move night to night, a two-night stand is not the same show twice, which is the argument for buying both rather than picking one.

The show is 16 and up, so younger fans are turned away at the door. Resale listings put tickets from about $53 with fees, and the Mission Ballroom floor is standing general admission in a room that holds roughly 3,950, so getting there at doors is what buys a spot at the rail.
