Denver already has a Larimer Street Oktoberfest in September; the Denver Wiesn is the October one that plays it straight. Hosted by the Bavarian Guild with the National Western Center, it recreates the Munich formula across the Main Campus Plaza: bier halls, a traditional marketplace, and live entertainment.
The festival runs two weekends, October 16-18 and October 22-25, at 5185 National Western Drive. Walking in costs nothing; you pay for beer, food, and reserved tables. The A Line to the 38th and Blake station plus a short ride beats parking on the campus.
