Denver landed something no other American city will get this exhibit cycle: DIVA, the Victoria and Albert Museum's survey of stage and screen icons, opens at the Denver Art Museum on October 4 as its only U.S. stop. The show pulls together roughly 250 objects and costumes tracing nearly 100 performers across opera, dance, theatre, film and pop, from Josephine Baker and Maria Callas to Cher, Prince, Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
The exhibition runs through January 31, 2027 on Level 2 of the Hamilton Building; Jill D'Alessandro organized it for DAM. An opening gala is set for October 2, two days before the public run begins.
