Fall Artisan Market at Russell Park

The north metro's September market calendar is thin above 70th Avenue, which is why a city-run Saturday market in Historic Westminster is worth the short drive instead of the trip to a central Denver market. Westminster puts this one at Russell Park Honoring Firefighters, the park at 7290 Bradburn Boulevard, on Saturday, September 12.

The city lists it as a fall harvest market with makers, food and open park space, running five hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is a park market, not a fairground production, so the footprint is small and the walk from one end of the booths to the other takes minutes rather than an afternoon.

The City of Westminster calendar posts no admission charge, and Russell Park has its own free lot plus street parking along Bradburn Boulevard. Bring cash as a backup. Small city-park markets are the ones most likely to have a maker whose card reader cannot find signal.
