Denver Zoo's daytime fall overlay is the strange one. Bigfoot, a mermaid, and a fairy turn up around the grounds alongside Animal Ambassador appearances, which puts costumed cryptids and live animals in the same afternoon. It is the zoo leaning into the odd end of Halloween instead of the pumpkin-patch end.
The run goes September 25 through October 31 during regular operating hours, every day, not select evenings. That makes it a different thing from Boo at the Zoo, which is a separately ticketed after-hours event on 13 October evenings. Pumpkin carving runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only.
