Two brothers, two guitars, no vocals, and the rooms keep getting bigger. Hermanos Gutierrez write cinematic desert instrumentals that grew a word-of-mouth following into theater-scale touring, and the Los Ojos del Condor tour reaches Mission Ballroom on October 3.
An all-instrumental set in a room this size works because the audience treats it as a listening show rather than a party. Much of the crossover attention traces to their records with Dan Auerbach at Easy Eye Sound.
The show is 16 and up with a 7 PM start, earlier than most Mission Ballroom bills. Tickets start around $83 on AXS. Park in RiNo or ride the A Line to 38th and Blake and walk.
