The Rockies are giving Hall of Famer Larry Walker a permanent bronze at Coors Field, and the unveiling before the August 23 game against the Guardians is a milestone for a franchise that rarely stages ceremonies of this weight. Walker, the first Rockies player inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, gets a statue sculpted by Longmont brothers George and Mark Lundeen.
The first 15,000 fans through the gates receive a replica statue, so early arrival is the move for collectors. First pitch is 1:10 p.m.; the unveiling happens beforehand, and a game ticket covers it.
