It is rare to get the writer of Exile in Guyville and the band behind Dig Me Out on one Denver stage in the same night, and that is the draw here. Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney are co-headlining rather than one opening for the other, so the September 14 date at the Fillmore is a full evening from both camps.
The Fillmore holds about 3,900 standing, which keeps a show this size out of the arenas and on the floor. A Monday date means lighter crowds on Colfax than a weekend show would bring.
