The Melvins helped invent sludge metal and influenced a generation of heavier bands, and four decades in they remain a punishing live act. An Ogden show puts that volume in a room small enough to feel it physically.
The general-admission floor and balcony both face the stage. Earplugs are advised for a band that built its name on sheer heaviness.
