The zoo after dark is a different animal, and Denver Zoo saves one Halloween night for grown-ups only. Monster Masquerade opens the grounds from 5:30 to 10 PM with costumes, bars, and the strangeness of walking past exhibits at night, two days before Boo at the Zoo wraps the family season.
The event is Thursday, October 29 and is ticketed separately from regular admission through the zoo's site. It is 21-plus, so this is the one zoo Halloween night to book without kids in tow.
