Northglenn runs one of the north metro's most complete Fourth of July days, the kind of small-city festival that fills a whole afternoon rather than just capping the night with fireworks. It centers on the lake at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park.
The schedule runs from noon to 9:30 PM on July 4 and stacks a car show, the Duck Derby on the lake, live music, and a beer garden ahead of fireworks at roughly 9:15 PM. Entry is free, with food and drink for purchase.
The park sits at 11800 Community Center Drive next to the Northglenn Recreation Center. Come in the afternoon for the activities rather than rolling up at dusk, since the daytime programming is the point here.
