Northglenn does not land many dated running events, and this one is built for people who do not think of themselves as runners. The Colorado Brewery Running Series puts a 5k around Prost Brewing's Northglenn taproom and says plainly that running, walking, and jogging all count the same.
Prost brews German styles year round, so Oktoberfest here is the house specialty rather than a theme laid over a taproom for one weekend. Costumes are part of the format and there are prizes for the best of them.
Two waves start at 10:00 and 10:30 AM and the event wraps by 1 PM. Registration includes a Prost beer and an Oktoberfest 5k medal, with a shirt available as a paid add on, and refunds run up to seven days before race day. The start is at 351 West 104th Avenue, Unit A.
