Denver has plenty of one-afternoon food festivals. This is a three-day one that takes over Civic Center Park, and it is the first time the touring Panda Fest has stopped here. The draw is scale: the organizers list more than 200 dishes across the weekend, which is a different proposition from a dozen stalls in a parking lot.
The run opens Friday September 25 from 4 to 10 PM, then goes 10 AM to 10 PM Saturday and 10 AM to 8 PM Sunday. Alongside the food are more than 30 merchandise sellers. Admission is separate from food cost, so budget for both.

Early bird tickets are $10 and capped at a 1,000-ticket allotment through August 23, after which general admission is $14. Children under 6 get in free. Civic Center Park has no dedicated lot, so plan on light rail to Civic Center Station or metered street parking.
