Slothrust has been at this since 2010, bending grunge-indebted riffs toward blues and jazz chord shapes under guitarist Leah Wellbaum's deadpan delivery, and the result is a trio that reads heavier on record than its small-club following suggests.
The band plays the Gothic Theatre in Englewood on November 8, a single stop on a national tour rather than a hometown date, in a roughly 1,100-capacity room on South Broadway a short walk from the Englewood light rail station.

The show is 16 and over. Resale tickets start around $41 with fees included, which is close to face value for a room this size, and the Gothic box office may still list official tickets closer to the date.
