The Sweet Lillies came up through Colorado's jamgrass circuit with a sound built on viola, upright bass, and stacked harmonies rather than the usual banjo arms race. The September 11 date is a hometown room for a band that spends most of the year on festival stages.
Tickets through Swallow Hill's site. If you have only seen them outdoors at a festival, the listening-room version is a different and better band.
