Tank and the Bangas built a following by refusing to pick a genre: funk, soul, hip-hop and spoken word braided behind singer Tarriona "Tank" Ball's delivery, which has earned the New Orleans band a Grammy nomination and a touring reputation that outruns its radio presence.
The band brings that set to the Gothic Theatre in Englewood for one night, a room that holds roughly 1,100 people on South Broadway's southern end, a short walk from the Englewood light rail station.

The show is 16 and over, so this is not the one to bring a younger sibling to. Resale tickets start around $45 with fees included, and the Gothic box office may still hold face-value stock closer to the date.
