The draw here is simple and it works: a child carries a worn-out stuffed animal up to a station and a 'veterinarian' gives it a real checkup, bandages and all. Denver Zoo runs the Teddy Bear Clinic for the tenth year on August 15, 2026, in partnership with Children's Hospital Colorado, and the point is to make a doctor visit feel ordinary and friendly before a kid ever needs one.
Stations run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include plush check-ups, talks from animal care specialists with live demonstrations, and a chance to meet Elbert, the zoo mascot. It is built for young children, so the morning slot and the shade matter more than usual.

Admission is the regular zoo ticket with no separate clinic fee. The zoo sits in City Park with paid lots that fill on weekend mornings, so arriving near the 9 a.m. open buys the easiest parking and the shortest lines.
