The Tennyson Street Fair is the block party that turns Berkeley's restaurant-and-gallery strip into a pedestrian street, and its pull is the setting: several blocks of Tennyson, from West 39th to West 43rd Avenue, closed to cars so the sidewalk crowd spills into the road on a summer weekend.
The 2026 edition runs Friday, July 17 from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Expect a makers market of more than 100 local sellers, live music, and food alongside the street's own bars and Tennyson-brewed beer.
Entry is free and the fair is walkable straight from the Tennyson business district. Street parking disappears fast once the closures go up, so arrive early or come in from the neighborhood on foot.
