Lakewood's Sounds Exciting series is the kind of cheap, close-in summer night the west metro does well, and at 13 dollars in advance it is one of the better-value outdoor shows on the Front Range. The July 8 bill is Denver indie and alternative rock band Walden, with the RLY ORY Band opening.
The concert is at the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Amphitheater inside Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, 801 South Yarrow Street. Gates open at 5 PM, the opener plays at 6:15, and the headliner takes the stage at 7:15.
Tickets are 13 dollars in advance through the Lakewood box office, more at the gate. Bring low chairs or a blanket for the lawn.
