A kid gets to sit in a working fire engine maybe twice in a childhood, and the Westminster Fire Department is handing out one of those chances on October 3. Station #4 opens its bay doors from 11 AM to 2 PM, free, with lunch included and rides on the department’s antique fire truck.
The city bills it as a family-friendly drop-in. Alongside the engine and the ambulance there are public safety booths and a Kiddie Combat Challenge obstacle course for younger visitors. No ticket, no registration, come and go inside the three hours.
