Concerts in Denver This Weekend: October 9-11, 2026
The Sex Pistols put Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock in a 1,600-capacity Ogden on Friday while Paul Cauthen works a three-act bill at Mission Ballroom the same night, and Sunday hands the Ogden back to Osees for a loud one, October 9-11, 2026.
1. Holywatr at Gothic Theatre
Touring pop at the Gothic on Friday, 8 PM, 3263 South Broadway in Englewood. The thing worth knowing is the age policy: all ages, no restriction, which is rare for that room and the only reason some people reading this can go at all. The listing is thin and we are not going to pad it. Tickets run through Ticketmaster's Gothic Theatre page.
2. Pallavi Mahidhara: Scenes and Images at Lakewood Cultural Center
A solo piano program called Scenes and Images, Friday at the Lakewood Cultural Center in Belmar, part of the LCC Presents 2026-27 season. Mahidhara carries the entire night by herself, which is a different kind of nerve than standing in front of a band in a loud room. This is also the one Friday option on the list where you will be sitting down and not circling for parking. Start time and tickets come from the LCC Presents listing.
3. Paul Cauthen at Mission Ballroom
Cauthen sings like a televangelist who found a bar instead of a congregation, and the Book of Paul tour hits Mission Ballroom in RiNo on Friday at 8 PM. Read that time carefully, because 8 PM is the top of a three-act bill, with Rootbeer Richie and The Reveille and Tristan Trincado ahead of him, so the headline set runs late. Sixteen and over, tickets from about $57 on AXS before AXS decides what else to charge you for.
4. Sex Pistols at the Ogden Theatre
Three quarters of the original band in a room that holds about 1,600 people. Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock play the Ogden on Friday at 8:30 PM with Frank Carter singing, and before you file it under reunion cash grab, price out what a band with this much history costs in an arena. Sixteen and over. Capitol Hill street parking on a Friday night is a losing game, so take Colfax in and skip the circling.
5. 49 Winchester at Gothic Theatre
Appalachian country-rock, and the band has climbed fast enough that the Gothic already plays like a small room for them. Saturday at 8 PM, 3263 South Broadway in Englewood, 16 and over with a valid photo ID at the door, so bring it even if nobody has carded you since 2014. Tickets go through Ticketmaster's Gothic Theatre page.
6. Snarky Puppy at Mission Ballroom
An instrumental collective with multiple Grammys and a roster big enough to need its own seating chart, led by bassist Michael League. Saturday at Mission Ballroom in RiNo. The listing does not carry a set time yet, so get that from the venue before you build dinner around it.
7. hey, nothing: Hound World Tour
Sunday indie on the strength of a debut album, Hound, at the Gothic in Englewood, doors at 7 and music at 8. All ages, which on a Sunday night is a deliberate choice by somebody and means the 16-year-old who found this band first gets to be in the room. Tickets through the Gothic's listing for October 11.
8. Osees at the Ogden Theatre
John Dwyer has put out more records than you have had free weekends, and the live version is the entire argument: loud, long, and with the front of the Ogden operating as a mosh pit. Sunday, doors at 7 and music at 8, Traps PS opening, 16 and over, tickets starting around $60. If you want to hear it without getting elbowed in the ribs, stand back toward the bar and let the floor have it.
