Once a year, buildings that are normally closed to the public open their doors, and it costs nothing. Doors Open Denver, run by the Denver Architecture Foundation, returns September 24 through 27 with a Destination Downtown theme built around the state's 150th anniversary.
The program spans historic landmarks and brand-new construction, with self-guided visits plus guided tours and special programming. This edition leans into downtown's current changes: the 16th Street corridor rebuild and the reinvention of older landmarks.
