McGregor Square is stacking its season-opening skate rink launch onto the Broncos game broadcast on the plaza's 66-foot screen, with the official tree lighting timed to halftime. An ice performance from Denver Colorado FSC follows, then the rink opens for the season right after.
The free, all-ages event runs 1 to 8 PM Friday, November 27, 2026, at McGregor Square, 1901 Wazee Street. Kids can get photos with Dinger in Santa attire from 2 to 4 PM, a holiday market runs along Wynkoop Street, and the night closes with a screening of Elf on the Big Screen after the game. Admission to the plaza is free; skate rentals and rink time are paid separately.
