The People's Building hands its stage to a youth cast for Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition, the shortened cut of the musical-comedy fairy tale licensed for young performers and family audiences. It is one of the few fall theater runs on the east side of the metro that is built for kids to perform in rather than just watch.
The run plays November 20 through 22, 2026, at The People's Building, 9995 E Colfax Ave in Aurora's Cultural Arts District. Start times and ticket prices are not posted on the venue's event page, so check with the box office at 720-819-6680 before planning a family trip around a specific showtime.
