Peaches spent 25 years making music that clubs played and daytime radio would not touch, and she almost never does a talk. Merrill Nisker recorded 'The Teaches of Peaches' in 2000 on a Roland drum machine and became a reference point for a generation of electronic and queer performers who followed. MCA Denver bills this appearance as a discussion of her work across music, performance, gender, sexuality, art, and activism.
This is the Icons series, so the format is conversation rather than a set, which is the rarer thing to catch. It also means the value is in what she says about a body of work that is more often written about than explained by the person who made it.
The event is at the Holiday Theater, MCA Denver's venue at 2644 W. 32nd Ave. in Highland. MCA Denver's events page confirms the Oct. 14, 2026 date but does not list a start time or ticket price, and parking in that stretch of Highland is street parking only.
