Most cities do not get to watch a local comedy night turn into a television show and then keep running as a local comedy night. Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy built The Grawlix at small Denver rooms, sold the premise to TruTV as Those Who Can’t, and still put the show up monthly at a north Denver playhouse instead of a club.
The format is stand-up plus sketch from the three of them, with a guest booked each month. The guest is not named on the venue calendar ahead of time, which historically has meant anyone from a touring headliner passing through to a local comic the three of them want the room to see.

Jaume Plensa: A New Humanism at Denver Botanic Gardens
Apr 18 - Sep 7 · Denver Botanic Gardens
The show runs 8 PM to about 10 PM at the Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street. The Bug has a bar, so bring ID. Parking is street-only in a residential block and the room is small, which is the whole appeal and also the reason walking up at 7:55 is a gamble.
