Tim Reid, the Emmy-nominated actor known to television audiences from WKRP in Cincinnati and Frank's Place, brings his one-man stage show to Denver for a single performance. The show is billed as a personal journey through poverty, segregation and the making of an actor, told firsthand rather than through a scripted biography.
The performance lands at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre, housed in the converted Shorter A.M.E. Church building in Historic Five Points, one of Denver's oldest Black cultural institutions. The venue's own history as a sanctuary turned performance space gives the setting as much weight as the show itself.
