Arlo Parks is a bigger name than the room she is playing here, which is the whole reason to flag this date. The London songwriter won the Mercury Prize for her 2021 debut 'Collapsed in Sunbeams' and took the BRIT Award for Breakthrough Artist the same year, writing plainly about depression, friendship, and growing up in a way that made her a festival booking across Europe.
At the Gothic she is the headliner rather than a support slot on a larger bill, so this is a full set in a roughly 1,100-capacity theater instead of 40 minutes on an amphitheater side stage. Denver gets her at close range on a weekend night.
