Blush: A Burlesque Fantasy at Clocktower Cabaret

Champagne Shuga Nova and DD Honeybee build this one around characters rather than a theme night: The Cowgirl, The Housewife, Marilyn, and The Rockstar each get a number, so the running order reads as a series of short portraits instead of a revue. Two performances only, both in the 9:30 PM slot.

The late start makes it the second show of the night on both dates, which is how Clocktower programs its edgier material. Blush also produces the October 1 breast cancer benefit in the same room, so the troupe holds the opening of the venue's Clocktober run three nights running.

Clocktower is a roughly 200-seat basement cabaret at 1601 Arapahoe Street with a two-item minimum at the tables. A 9:30 PM curtain means a finish near midnight; the closest light rail stops sit two blocks off on the 16th Street corridor.
