Most Halloween shows run one weekend and repeat the same set. BOOlesque runs eight nights across the last stretch of October and the poster promises a new show each night, which turns a burlesque booking into something closer to a residency. It closes on Halloween itself.
The run sits at the end of a stacked October at Clocktower, a month the venue calls Clocktober, which opens on the 1st with a breast cancer benefit and moves through a Sleepy Hollow burlesque adaptation and an aerial remix of The Nightmare Before Christmas. The venue is marking its own 20th anniversary this year and bills BOOlesque as reaching its 20th year alongside it.

Jaume Plensa: A New Humanism at Denver Botanic Gardens
Apr 18 - Sep 7 · Denver Botanic Gardens
Eight performances: October 23, 24, 25, 26, then 28, 29, 30, and 31. The venue is dark on the 27th. Costumes are encouraged, which in a basement cabaret at 1601 Arapahoe Street means the audience is part of the room. Halloween night sells first; the Wednesday and Thursday shows are the reliable seats.
