Chatfield Farms is the Botanic Gardens' 700-acre working farm and native-plant preserve in Littleton, and on free days the gate fee drops so families can wander the trails, the heirloom gardens, and the historic homestead for nothing.
Admission is free on these dates during standard hours. Parking is on-site off Deer Creek Canyon Road, and the farm sits well south of central Denver, so plan the drive. Free days draw crowds, so arrive early for parking.
