Cheesman Park Art Fest is the kind of summer weekend that turns a city park into a gallery, and the 13th edition, run by Dash Events, fills the park's south lawn with more than 150 painters, potters, jewelers, and sculptors on July 25 and 26.
The festival is juried and free of commercial booths, so the work on sale is handmade, and the organizers add food trucks and live music across the two days. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is free. Enter from 8th Avenue on the south side, or 9th Avenue on the east and west. Street parking around Cheesman is limited on festival weekends, and the park has little shade, so plan for sun.
