Watching artists paint new murals in real time along East Colfax is the draw here, a free week that turns the Aurora Cultural Arts District into an open-air gallery. The corridor gets a fresh round of public art every year.
Painting begins Saturday, August 29, 2026 and the festival culminates in an Aurora Cultural Arts District First Friday on September 4.
It is free to walk the corridor and watch the work go up. The full First Friday programming lineup is announced in July.
