August 1 is Colorado's 150th birthday, and the Denver Art Museum marks it by dropping general admission to free and turning its Martin and Acoma plazas over to Colorado artists selling fine art.
The day also brings Native Arts Artists-in-Residence talks. Free general admission covers the permanent collection; ticketed special exhibitions are separate. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. in the Golden Triangle.
