Summer is the one stretch when the Botanic Gardens are arguably better after dark, and Evenings al Fresco is built around that. The Gardens extend hours into the evening so guests can walk the grounds in cooler air with live local musicians playing among the beds.
The 2026 series runs on five dates: June 29 and 30, July 13 and 15, and July 27, from 5 to 9 p.m. with last entry around 8 p.m. Tickets are date-specific and sell in advance rather than at the gate, so buy ahead. The Gardens are on York Street near Cheesman Park.
