Ken Salazar has held three jobs most Coloradans can only name, not imagine doing: U.S. Senator, Secretary of the Interior, and Ambassador to Mexico. On October 20, he sits down in the Arvada Center's Black Box Theatre to talk about the subject that started it all, his family's seven generations in Colorado's San Luis Valley, the heart of his new book Borderlands: My Fight for an Inclusive America.

Former Arvada Mayor Ken Fellman introduces Salazar and leads the onstage conversation, with the floor opened to audience questions afterward. The Black Box is the Arvada Center's smallest room, which makes this a close-range talk rather than a lecture-hall appearance.

The talk is free with RSVP, so seats go before the date rather than at the door. Copies of Borderlands are sold in the lobby and Salazar signs books after the program. Parking at the Arvada Center is free in the surface lots off West 57th Avenue.
