Unsettling Tales of Edgar Allan Poe

Halloween week in the close-in suburbs usually means haunted houses and trunk-or-treats; the Arvada Center is instead putting Poe's own words on stage for one night, a literary alternative that leans into the gothic mood without the jump-scare gimmicks.

The program is billed as a staged reading or performance of Poe's stories, drawing on the same public-domain macabre that fuels most Halloween programming, but treated as theater rather than a haunt.

The Arvada Center's public events calendar lists the date but had not yet posted a start time, ticket price, or venue room (Main Stage vs. Black Box) as of this sourcing pass; both should be confirmed on arvadacenter.org before publishing a time to readers.
