Flat-track roller derby is one of the few full-contact sports in Denver you can watch from ten feet away for the price of a movie ticket, and Denver Roller Derby is a genuinely world-ranked league rather than a novelty. This is the November stop on its home schedule, after the October doubleheader already on the calendar.
It is two bouts on one ticket. The junior mix-up bout opens at 6 PM, which is the league’s youth program skating in front of a real crowd, and the adult home teams follow at 8 PM with the Orange Crushers against the Grapes of Wrath. Home-team bouts are the league’s internal rivalries, so the crowd is split and loud rather than politely neutral.

The Rollerdome is at 2375 S. Delaware Street in Overland, a warehouse rink with track-side floor seating for anyone who wants to be close enough to feel it. Doors open at 5 PM, an hour before the first whistle. Ticketing was still listed as coming soon on the league schedule as of early September, so check the league page rather than a resale site.
