Metro Denver has one of the larger Ethiopian communities in the country, and this free City Park festival is where it shows up in full, with cooking that goes well past the injera-and-wat sampler most people know.
The weekend of September 12 and 13 stacks live music and dance performances around the food, plus a marketplace of makers. Admission is free, with food and goods sold on site.
