Most people only see the inside of a public safety building on the worst day of their life. Westminster spends one Saturday a year opening the doors on purpose, and this year it lands on September 26 at the Public Safety Center on Yates Street.
The city lists safety resources, demonstrations, tours, and games running the full four hours, from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Westminster Fire Department is on site alongside city government leaders, so this is one of the few mornings where you can walk the building and ask the people who work in it what actually happens there.
